Hm this doesn't look very good at first glanceIf you don't like micromanagement, try Globulation 2.
It's probably like all the rts games eh there is probably just no good gamesMaybe try 0 A.D. then? (It can't be modern if it is 2000 years old)I am not a big fan of modern/futuristic strategies
Ofc I was talking about multiplayer, who even plays singleplayer in games that have mp??You can try to enable/disableAlso increase scroll speed and animation speed to the highest
- Skip A.I. moves
- Show combat (optional)
If your play style is trial & error, you can play 5 - 10 games (most are retries) in 1 hour instead of 1 game (retry) in 1 hour
You would potentially learn and play quicker due to how fast things get bogged down by animations alone, however it doesn't guarantee you would improve quicker
Though your problem is fog/shroud becomes a walking nightmare when skip A.I. moves is enabled, disable if needed
Multiplayer is quite different, maybe try to join games that doesn't allow you and other participants to think more than 1 minute (less is better)
And yeah it might work, but then you don't have enough time for moves haha
I don't think I have ever seen a game with timer apart from games hosted by a bot
